クレイを使ったパステルトーンの軽いタッチで、重い社会課題を描く若い作家。自己の内面と社会から期待されるものとの間の葛藤や声なき声を表そうとしている。
モチーフにはアフリカの課題を扱うものから、彼らが直面する問題をすべて忘れさせてくれるような音楽やダンスの物語もある。
Kenneth Namalomba is a young artist, born in 1990. He tries to show the conflict that exists between the inner self and the person the society expects one to be which is often characterized by a mask to show the conflict and a sealed mouth to show the lack of voice in the people. All this results from the fact that Kenneth does his Art under his movement "Our Voice through Art" in which he tries to be the voice of the voiceless.
His paintings range from the problems in Africa to the happy stories like music and dances of which helps people forget all the problems at hand.

早婚を余儀なくされ、子供を産んだ後に見捨てられた少女の物語。
教育を受ける夢は壊れ、生計を立てる手段は何もないが、それでも彼女は子供を育てなければならない。
It’s a story about a young girl who has been forced into early marriage and has been abandoned after conceiving a child. Her dreams of completing education have been broken and now she has nothing to do to earn a living. Despite the fact that she has nothing to do to earn a living, she has the burden of raising a child.

人間は動物の精霊を持っているという信仰に基づいたもの。彼らの行動を特徴づけるのはこれらの動物の精霊であり、その動物を理解することを学ばなければならない。
例えば、ライオンスピリットを持つ人は勇気があり、肉体的にも精神的にも強く、根気強く戦術的だとされる。
It’s about the belief that people possess animal spirits and it is these animal spirits that characterize their behaviors and one ought to learn to understand the animal in them and only then will they be successful. どうすれば音楽を通して自分自身を表現し、痛みから癒すことができるようになるのか。
人生の苦難を表すため、粘土と木材の接着剤を使用して、粗い表面を作成し、ブラシを使用して表面にペイントした。
The hardships of life and how we as humans have learnt to express ourselves through music and be able to heal from the pain.
I used clay and wood glue to create a rough surface to represent the hardships of life. Then I painted on the surface using a brush.

アフリカの伝統的な楽器を演奏する男。こうした伝統は現代音楽の影響によりほとんど消えていった。
ブラシとパレットナイフを使ってペイントしている。
An African man playing one of the traditional African music instruments which is almost extinct now due to influences of modern music and its instruments.
I used both brush and palette knife to paint.
